Strap Design vs. Yoke Design
The first, most important feature about our devices is our strap design. This is what makes our products better in so many ways. A yoke device uses the body as a fulcrum; the yoke arms that come down over your collar bones will pivot against the chest to control head and neck loads. Our devices do not come over the front of you and move away from the body during an impact.
Lesson one: Loads are reduced to the body with a strap design! The straps on our devices are arranged to aid the device when taking loads in the frontal, angular and side impacts. Because Yoke devices do not have the straps, they rely soley on the seat belts for their performance. It is apparent in an angular or side impact that a yoke style device will not have the same performance due to the loading process and a yoke style device carries the potential to come out from under the belts in any other impact than a frontal. This is why it is so important to have a full containment (with head and shoulder supports) seat, when using a yoke style device. With our strap design, we made a system that hooks into the seat belt from the front of the device. This comfortable arrangement is what secures the device in frontal, angular and side impacts, giving you the consistent protection you need.
Lesson two: The strap design will out perform in all directions of impacts! The next advantage with our devices is the ease of exiting! Once again, the straps make it possible! Exiting the car is easier when the device is strapped to you and moves with you, preventing it from getting hung up on objects. Our devices boast a lower top, also making this feat easier than exiting with a yoke style device.
Lesson three: Straps make it easier to exit the vehicle! When it comes to comfort, we have done our homework and customers who use our product will tell you they don't even know it's there! We have taken our latest model, the Hybrid Pro, and made it to fit in any seat with out the use of a pad. The small carbon fiber section fits easily behind you in the space between your shoulders and your seat, making the device undetectible. Lesson four: Our strap design makes for a more comfortable arrangement! Visibility is another feature that a customer takes into consideration.
